The Bidarki Recreation Center is a city owned and operated recreational facility and home to the Cordova Parks and Recreation Department offices. The amenities offered within Bidarki include three cardio areas complete with an assortment of elliptical machines, treadmills and exercise bikes. A fully stocked weight room with a combination of free weights and a variety of weight machines. An assortment of weekly activities take place on the basketball court upstairs. Including adult volleyball, basketball, tot times, open gym and Cardio Fit classes. The Men's and Women's locker rooms are both equip with saunas, showers & lockers available for public use. Towels are provided at the front desk for a dollar if needed.
Bidarki offers a number of Membership options to cater to each individual patron. The front desk staff can help you decide whether a day, monthly, seasonal or annual pass is the best fit for you and or give you a tour of the facility. Bob Korn Pool Memberships can also be purchased at Bidarki as a combo or singular option. Membership forms can be printed out online or picked up at the front desk.
In addition to operating the Bidarki Recreation Center and The Bob Korn Pool the Parks and Recreation Department also manages the Odiak Camper Park, the Shelter Cove Tent & RV Park and Skaters Cabin. Information on renting all of these facilities can be found under the Skaters Cabin/Campground option on the menu bar above or by stopping into or calling the Bidarki Recreation Center. Aerobic Fitness Class: Monday & Friday from Noon - 1:00 pm, Tuesday & Thursday 12:15 pm - 1:15 pm
Adult Basketball: Tuesday & Thursday 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Adult Volleyball: Monday & Wednesday 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Weight Training: Monday - Friday with the Voz from 6am - 7am & 5pm - 6pm

Cardio Fit – Combination of aerobic and athletic moves. Class utilizes body weight moves, dumbbells, mats and step. Music and high energy make this class fun and rewarding. No two classes are the same! All levels of fitness. Approx. 45 minutes. Instructor: Susie or “Jimbo”
Retro-bics – Break out your headbands and leg warmers…just kidding. This class is a favorite of many! Includes step aerobics, cardio kickboxing moves and an abdominal-blasting cool down. Step box and dumbbells used in this class. All levels welcome. Step to the beat and have fun! Instructor: Susie
Tabata – Founded by a Japanese scientist named Izumi Tabata. Any exercise can be incorporated into the Tabata training. However the basic outline of the Tabata training method is:
• 20 seconds of intense training
• 10 seconds of rest
4 minutes of this cycle equals 1 Tabata Session. We usually do 7 – 8 sessions. Intermediate – advanced fitness levels, however beginners are always welcome…workout at your own pace. Instructor: Susie
Station Rotation – Be ready for anything! Move from station to station, 1 minute per station. Push yourself, challenge yourself, learn what you CAN do and have FUN! You might be outside or indoors, balancing on a board or doing handstands, hanging from Olympic rings, running agility drills, swinging kettlebells, throwing medicine balls, punching bags, throwing ropes, stretching rubber bands, lifting weights, torching your abs or posing in downward dog…the list goes on. All levels of fitness. Come and go as you please. Workout for 1 minute or 1 hour, it is up to you. All Levels of fitness. Bring a towel and water. Instructor: “Jimbo”
Strength Training – Work out with weights. Learn proper form and technique. Develop a long list of exercises that you can take with you to any gym and feel comfortable utilizing all the equipment. Beginner to Advanced. Strengthen muscles, joints and burn more calories. Instructor: “Jimbo”
