Unless within 7 days after the date on this notice, either:
A)The vehicle is released from impoundment under CMC 10.52.020, or
B) A person with an interest in the vehicle requests a hearing under CMC 10.52.040,
the City may without further notice impound and dispose of the vehicle by sale, destruction or other disposition authorized by law.
Only the registered owner or the owner’s legal representative can obtain the release of an impounded vehicle once the following conditions have been met:
A. Successful appeal of the impoundment; or
B. Upon payment of each of the following:
a) The civil penalty for each violation that was a cause of the impoundment, and that has not been successfully appealed;
b) Each unpaid civil penalty for a violation by the registered owner of the vehicle of a provision of this title, which violation is not subject to further appeal;
c) Any unpaid fines or surcharges for a violation by the registered owner of the vehicle of a provision of this title, which violation is not subject to further appeal; and
d)The impoundment administrative fee and any towing and storage charges arising from the impoundment.
