Harbor Construction Scheduled to Begin on December 6, 2023.
Construction crews from Turnagain Marine Inc. are schedule to arrive in Cordova December 5, 2023. Barges and heavy equipment will be operating in and around the South Harbor for the next six months.
The City of Cordova would like to remind mariners, vehicle drivers and pedestrians to be mindful of construction activities and road closure signs.
Mariners are advised to give the construction barge and vessels a wide berth and no wake in the harbor.
Crews will be operating seven days a week and twelve hours a day to meet our deadline and be open for the 2024 fishing season.
Pile driving will only be conducted during daylight hours.
