Ensuring the Future of Our Burn Pile: Guidelines for Safe and Responsible Use

Attention Community Members:

As we continue to maintain a clean and safe community, we want to remind everyone about the proper handling of the burn pile. Please be aware that improper burning practices are not only hazardous, but they also risk shutting down the burn pile program for everyone in our community. Here’s why:

  1. State Regulations: If burn piles are not managed according to state guidelines, the program could be shut down, and the privilege of burning will be taken away from everyone in the area. Let’s all do our part to avoid this situation!
  2. Cost to the Community: Improper burning creates more work for our streets and refuse crews, who must clean up the aftermath of illegal burning. This takes time and resources, costing the community more money than necessary and reducing the availability of these crews to respond to other important maintenance and improvement projects. We all contribute to the upkeep of this program, so let’s ensure it remains a benefit for everyone.

Please adhere to all guidelines for the burn pile to keep this service available and reduce costs to our community. Together, we can make sure our community stays safe, clean, and respectful of everyone’s time and resources.

Thank you for your cooperation!
