Cordova Police Department’s Recent Drug Busts Lead to Multiple Arrests

On January 10, 2024, the Cordova Police Department, in cooperation with the U.S. Postal Inspector Service and the Alaska State Troopers, executed a drug interdiction that resulted in the arrest of two Cordova residents in connection to drug trafficking through the United States Postal System. A large quantity of Cocaine and Marijuana was seized during the operation.

On January 12, 2024, the Cordova Police Department, along with local Alaska Wildlife Troopers and US Forest Service Law Enforcement, executed multiple search warrants on a Cordova residence concerning an outstanding arrest warrant. CPD seized a large amount of Methamphetamine, as well as a small quantity of Fentanyl from the home. As a result of the search, the police arrested one individual in connection with the drugs recovered on the premises. The other suspect was remanded into the Cordova Jail Facility due to an existing warrant for their arrest.

The Cordova Police Department would like to thank its agency partners, as well as the community members who provided informational tips that directly resulted in the apprehension of this criminal element.
