Refuse Collection

Residential
Residential garbage is collected weekly. Each residence is permitted three cans per week. Residential garbage should be bagged and tied and stored in clean, watertight, animal-proof containers with tight-fitting lids.

Commercial
Commercial properties may utilize cans or dumpsters. Dumpsters are available in two sizes. Collection may be scheduled weekly. Contact City Hall to arrange pick up schedule.

Recycling

The City of Cordova recycles aluminum and cardboard. Aluminum Collection Dumpsters are located throughout the city. Cardboard may be delivered to the bailer during regular business hours.

Hazardous Waste

Paint, oil solvents, adhesives, etc. may be deposited at the bailer any time during regular business hours year round. Hazardous waste processing is conducted annually in the summer time at the bailer facility.

Bailer Facility Hours

7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday, year-round.

City Landfill

Contact the Bailer Facility at 424-5600 for use of the landfill.
